5. Sadie is making decisions, while we worry about the future
Sadie has become quite clear about her preferences, especially where she wants her bed and where she wants to eat. Earlier this week, though, she refused her tea, which is her main meal, and ran under the bed ( no reason that we knew of,(( which is par for the course)) I did not want to coax her out with treats, so I left the food by the bedroom door as a compromise. After 20 minutes, with Sadie still under the bed, I put the food back in the fridge for later. She eventually

4. The Big Mistake & The Power of Cheese
Week 11. The Big Mistake We had been ‘practicing’ popping a harness on Sadie; she was never happy about it but was accepting and rather than run away she would cuddle into me for reassurance and even fell asleep next to me on occasion. 2. Enter Nellie ! Week 3
Before we decided to foster Missy, we had offered to foster Nellie from Carmen at Angels for Animals, Birda Romania, a wonderful rescue. Nellie arrived like a whirlwind (like a bat out of hell, actually) at seven or eight months old, full of fun and boundless energy. She ate ravenously and chewed on anything unsecured. Nellie was afraid of hands, especially when they were raised or we were reaching for something us, with lots of treats, reassurance and love she was soon fine,

1. Settling in. The first few weeks.
We decided to make Sadie a suitable safe cave as she was so scared of everything. Dusting off a large crate ( well cobwebbing and washing) and taking off the door, I filled it with cozy, comfy bedding and placed a blanket over the top, leaving the tiny house there with Sadie in it for now. Sadie moved between both places for a few days before we removed the tiny house; it, at times, moved with her, so tight it was around her (which although a funny site was also quite sad) Sa
